Katy Perry, 35, is expecting a daughter with her fiancé, the 43-year-old Pirates of the Caribbean star Orlando.
Despite having a short list of names they like for the little one, Katy said she would not know what the baby would be called until she came into this world.
She told Carson and Kennedy in "Boston's Mix 104.1": "We still have time to decide specifically on her name, because I think we have some alternatives and she will tell us which one she likes."
"I'll see her and say, 'Oh, yes, you're her, you're her.'
She added: "The world is wild and now is a wild time to bring life to the world."
Despite everything, Katy said she and Orlando are looking forward to becoming parents.
She: "He's really excited about a little girl. They say little girls are, you know, dad's little girl. So be it, we'll see."
Speaking about her upcoming album, she said: "I like to work, I like to sing, I love my job."
"My premature plan was just to keep going and set a record during the summer, until the waters burst, because then I would be transformed into a mother dog."
Her new album will be released on August 14, letting us think she will be born right after that.
Orlando is already the father of 9-year-old son Flynn, whom he shares with ex-wife Miranda Kerr.
