The richest man in the world has just gotten richer than anyone else in history, just a year after handing over part of his fortune to the most expensive divorce in history.

Amazon founder and CEO Jeff Bezos owns a net worth that rose to $ 171.6 billion this week, more than Hungary's or Algeria's GDP, according to World Bank estimates.

Things are going well for Jeff Bezos. Even very well. Amazon's stock rose to record highs and the company that Bezos founded 26 years ago today is worth $ 1.54 trillion.

Bezos, which owns 11.1% of the company, has a fortune of $ 182.6 billion, the newest record on Forbes' list of the world's richest.

Amazon shares fell 15% in the first two weeks of March and have already risen 80%. Bezos received the title as the richest man in the world in July 2017, although it lasted only a few days.

In October 2017 it climbed back to the highest point. A year later his fortune reached $ 160 billion. It is currently $ 70.2 billion richer than Gates, who is second with $ 110.4 billion.

Bezos transferred his fortune to his wife after the divorce, which today has a fortune of $ 59.8 billion. If Bezos had kept his full fortune, he would have had $ 240 billion today./BusinessMagazine.al
