A different post, with very few political overtones that once again reminds him of the "cost" that the living and the dead must carry on their shoulders because of his engagement as the country's prime minister! Edi Rama, remembers today with some heartfelt words, through a status that he has made public on his official profiles on social networks of the late father, that if he were alive today he would be 88 years old.

Posting a black-and-white photo of the two, the head of government says that every July 31, he remembers with wet eyes his father and before his eyes his peaceful smile and the fact that his death forced him to return to Tirana, exactly where a completely new journey would start for him! He writes:

Full post by the Prime Minister:

MY FATHER, KRISTAQ RAMA, took the name of his grandfather, Kristaq Rama I, who was one of the signatories of independence in Durrës, dedicated his life and property to the opening of schools in the Albanian language, at a time when our mother tongue the power of a great enmity threatened. My father would have turned 88 today, if a fatal heart attack had not suddenly stopped his journey in this world 22 years ago, when his death brought me to Tirana and changed my journey. But that's another story.

Today, as every July 31st, when I remember him with my wet eyes, his peaceful smile is before my eyes and after every war debate between us during the years of my first youth - when I spoke more and more and he resisted less and less. From me, my life in politics, which started on the day of his funeral, the reason of political irrationality has brought a lot of mud on my father's name after his death.

But that smile melts and dissolves all the mud, just like every morning a national holiday, when due to my duty I have been going to Mother Albania or to the Heroes of Independence in Vlora for 20 years now. After placing the crown, I bow and then raise my head to the height of the deeds he left and from the sky comes his smile.

The works will be there together with the name of Kristaq Rama, when those who have muddied him all these years will be covered in time and with food, from the dust of a final oblivion without return. My father was right, never forget him, in this life you have come to leave your memory, to your children, to those who really know you and if you are very good, to your people. Others are picked up by the wind, and eventually the human body itself becomes smelly.

#Unforgettable.
