The Minister of Health and Social Protection, Ogerta Manastirliu, has again appeared in a public message addressed to the citizens to emphasize the care and vigilance that each of us must have in these days when the virus has become more widespread. Manastirliu said that preparations have begun to face the autumn-winter situation in several directions.
But he appealed to the citizens to adapt to the new normality by strictly respecting the rules and protocols. Manastirliu said that we should give up holidays and birthdays:
“Until this pandemic is defeated, we are required to give up gatherings and holidays that many times, and we have this evidenced, have become the main foci of the spread of infection. The new normality seeks to see physical distancing not as a way to get away from loved ones, but as a means to show love even more strongly, while protecting them. The new normality requires us to use the mask everywhere, in any enclosed environment, already established by law and wherever distancing is impossible. It requires us to follow the rules of hygiene wherever, at any time, wherever we can. The new normality requires from us very little, very very little! All together, by following the simple but life-saving rules we can do it! It is never too late to do the right thing! Start with yourself! Start today "
Manastirliu stressed that the work to cope with the epidemic is continuing and has not stopped for more than 140 days with all the capacities of the health system, from field epidemiologists to doctors and nurses who are facing the first line with COVID-19.
The Minister also said that the plan for coping with the situation during the autumn-winter is ready; from the establishment of mobile teams at the National Emergency Center to the medical treatment of patients with Covid-19.
" We are preparing to face the autumn-winter situation in several directions. From the creation of mobile teams in the National Emergency Center to the dedicated teams of doctors and nurses for Covid3 and Covid4 hospitals, from the strengthening of the capacities of the regional hospitals, from the increase of the test capacities to the vaccination of the endangered groups, from the prevention of control infections in the measures for the continuation of modern treatments of patients with Covid-19 ", - said Manastirliu.
