How many died today? Unfortunately, this is the most "popular" question these days.
In Kosovo, the daily death rate from Covid-19 remains stable, 10 to 20 deaths per day, while in Albania it is approaching the number 10. And this has already become commonplace, a regular part of what is expected to happen in every new day, a something that no longer surprises anyone. Coexistence with this absurdity of death is the new standard of what is considered something completely normal. A host of deaths a day, this is our new normalcy!

The Covid-19 pandemic highlighted not only the fragility of our system, but also the depth of our intellectual regression. Although equipped with all kinds of diplomas, more than ever before, Albanians today no longer trust science, but have given all their trust to some charlatans who, in search of attention, sell all kinds of conspiracy theories. And anyone, even the most informed man in the world, who opposes the narrative of these charlatans is immediately stigmatized as a paid man.

Albanians absorb all the fabrications of the day, no matter how absurd, because these theories feed the inferiority complex, which is still deeply rooted in the Albanians. Within this conspiratorial world, the Albanian no longer feels inferior, but, for a moment, he is so important that he is subject to treatment by Bill Gates or some other global factor. Even more painful is to see some names, who, who more and who less, are respected by the public, who promote theories about imaginary chips, camouflage the real cause of death (because according to them our poor state has entered service of the dark circles that control the world) to the relativization of this tragedy that has already affected every aspect of our lives, because, according to them, the flu and flame have always existed.

This collective hysteria, this dazzle of conspiracy theories, is the fruit of a culture of mistrust, which, as a social norm, we have nurtured in the last thirty years. Today, with or without his own fault, the Albanian does not trust anyone or anything. And when trust in the pillars of society is shattered then the way is opened for charlatanism to be installed as social authority. Why and how, this is a topic in itself!
Even if there really is a global conspiracy in connection with Covid-19, we Albanians can only be spectators of this clash. And even from those who watch the match from the neighborhood cafe, because, for the importance we have, they do not even allow us to approach the stadium. With or without a global conspiracy, to say that Albanian families receive money to declare death from Covid, to say, do not get the vaccine because they will insert chips into us (ie Edi Rama is a colossus of the size of Trump and Putin and who no longer has need to direct them with ERTV, but with chips), just to get a little attention and somehow come to terms with it, you have to be completely hopeless and deeply immersed in the pool of personal insignificance, to just go mind to do interesting in times of such disasters.

Meanwhile, people continue to die and this continues to impress no one. It is enough that according to an X theory these deaths have an interesting explanation. It is the year 2020, but we seem to be back to the time when we believed in magic, when we thought that diseases are cured only with the prayers of imams and priests, and when medicine and science were the work of Satan.

And some others, who - just because this summer they will not be able to raise money from weddings and other summer celebrations, deny the existence of disease, relativize suffering and death - can only be described as mercenaries of death, because you have to be very black spirit to aim to benefit even in this situation. But the Albanian does this too, he arrogantly flirts with the misfortune that has befallen us.

Freedom of expression guarantees everyone the right to say what they want (I am an unwavering supporter of this right, in any situation or circumstance), but this does not mean that one should not have a little conscience and not feel sado pak turp.
The Covid-19 pandemic will pass one day, but this ignorance, which has spread all over the Albanian world, I am afraid will not pass for a long time./ TiranaPost
