Meghan Markle felt disappointed that Kate Middleton did not offer her more support, at least according to royal correspondent Omid Scobie.

He said Prince Harry's chilled relationship with Prince William also influenced the two sisters-in-law never to form a close bond.

Speaking on The Heirpod podcast, the co-author of Harry and Meghan's biography, Finding Freedom, said there has never been a war between Meghan and Kate, but they had a superficial relationship. He said that although they both appeared together in several public appearances, it did not cause the friendship to arise between them.

"Meghan was expecting more support from Kate and that was one of the things that left her a little disappointed ... as there were times when she would really appreciate a support from her," he said.

However, the author added that the Duchess of Cambridge may have been too busy to help Meghan.

Many say that the lack of a close relationship between the two women of the royal family may have been the result of a broken relationship between Harry and William.

However, in every public appearance, Meghan and Kate have tried to be cordial with each other and exchange smiles in front of photographers. What was the reason why they never became friends is still unknown and until it is understood the media will continue to allude.
