The Italian doctor, Roberto Petrella (specializing in Obstetro-gynecology, and has his own medical clinic in Terramo), is against doing tampons. According to him, the tampon contains bacteria and creates infections.

Petrella has given an exclusive interview for "Albania Live" where he addressed everyone not to do the tampon. He even asks "why do not they take the saliva with a tampon, but have to go to the end of the pharynx?".
