Facebook has added a new feature that will allow users to watch videos together through Messenger. The feature, called "Watch Together", works with all Facebook Watch video content, including its original software, user uploads, creator content, live streaming, and soon music videos.

Videos can be viewed by up to eight people in a video chat on Messenger on mobile, or by up to 50 people in the Messenger Room.

To use the option, users must first be on a videocall in Messenger or in a Messenger Room. The option is available on iOS and Android mobile devices, but Facebook intends to enable it on other platforms, such as desktops.

Users can browse or search to find something to look at together. Facebook Watch content is organized into categories like "TV & Movies", "Watched", "Uploaded" and "Suggested".

Although official music videos have recently become available on Facebook Watch, thanks to Facebook's new deal with labels, they are not yet available. According to Facebook, they will be added in the coming weeks, initially in the US, India and Thailand to later become available in other parts of the world.

Anyone watching the video can pause, pause, or move forward or backward in the video.
