Rihanna's Savage x Fenty fashion show grabbed computer and phone screens last week. Many celebrities like Paris Hilton, Erika Jayne, Bella Hadid, etc., became part of the fashion show that made a lot of noise on social networks and people did not stop talking. But there was something else that was discussed, perhaps more than the fashion show itself. It is about the fact that Rihanna used hadiths, the holy sayings of the Prophet Muhammad, as music for her parade.
"As a Muslim, I can not describe in words how disappointed I am by Rihanna who allowed her models to dance with hadith. Hadith are the sacred words of our Prophet, you can not use it for your appearance with underwear. Disgusting and "extremely disrespectful," someone wrote on Twitter.
Also a large part of the Muslim community agreed with this statement.
y’all don’t realize how disrespectful it was what Rihanna did. she didn’t use music thats in Arabic or anything. she used a hadith, hadith and arabic songs are two different things, and she used the words of our prophet, that are meant to guide muslims, for her lingerie show...

okay the fact that rihanna’s show was supposed to be a keystone for “inclusion” while she completely alienated the Muslim community by disrespecting a Hadith recitation is the perfect showcase of how fashion brands & the media have never considered us as a part of their audience

i feel like islamaphobia is so normalised to the point where people are calling us dramatic for being mad when our religion gets disrespected? hadith are sacred words of the prophet, they’re used to guide muslims & are second to only the Quran. rihanna should know better.

there’s a level of modesty, both men & women have to obtain when it comes to our religion. the fact that rihanna used the hadith to play at her LINGERIE show where people were waking around half naked is so disrespectful to islam & muslims, so idk why people are defending it

How does Rihanna pride herself and her brand for speaking up for diversity and inclusion and then alienate the Muslim community by using a sped up Hadith w music playing over it at a whole LINGERIE SHOW. Beyond disrespectful

Pasi pa reagimin e ashpër në rrjetet sociale, Rihanna publikoi â??â??një falje publike në lidhje me këtë çështje në llogarinë e saj në Instagram.
"I would like to thank the Muslim community for pointing out such carelessness that was inadvertently offensive in our Savage x Fenty fashion show. I would rather apologize for this sincere but careless mistake. We e we understand that we have hurt a lot of our Muslim brothers and sisters, and I am extremely disappointed by this! I do not play with any kind of disrespect to God or any religion and therefore the use of the song in our project was completely irresponsible! "Nothing like that will ever happen again. Thank you for your forgiveness and understanding, Rih."
