Renowned music producer David Foster becomes a father for the sixth time at the age of 70. This is the first child for his wife Katharine McPhee, 36-year-old American actress.
Foster and McPhee are linked in June 2019. They first met in 2006 during the realization of the 5th season of American Idol. David Foster had so far gone through two divorces, one with his ex-wife, Rebbecca Dyer and that with Yolanda Hadid, the mother of models Gigi and Bella Hadid.
His eldest daughter, Erin, has told PEOPLE that the age difference in her father's new relationship is positive for him as he does not stay passive and also says that Katharine pushes him to be more emotional.
Foster also credits his wife, saying he fits in very well with his five grown daughters.
David Foster has written classic hits like Whitney Houston's "I Have Nothing"; "Glory of love" by Peter Cetera, and has nurtured talents such as Michael BublÑ and Josh Groban and worked for iconic diva like Barbara Streisand and Celine Dion. Many of these artists spoke about the Canadian singer-songwriter and producer in the Netflix documentary "David Foster: Off the Record."
