It is very important to create care for pets. Their unconditional love makes us feel better and we never feel alone in their presence. But when it comes to the relationship between your dog and your baby, we need to be careful.

It can be something fun for the baby and for you as you watch them play together. Keep in mind that your puppy or puppy is not as clean as you think. When you get home you kiss the puppy, but your baby should not see this action. A child's immune system is not as strong and effective as that of an adult. We have all heard the myth that "a dog's mouth is cleaner than a human", but the truth is that this has not been proven by any study. The fact is that the disease-causing oral bacteria are present in both the human mouth and the dog's mouth. We must keep in mind that dogs are not aware of where they place their tongue.

"Their tongue is like toilet paper, as they use it to clean their genitals," says Marc Leavy, a Baltimore healthcare specialist. "Studies have confirmed that dog mucosa can cause infections of the mouth or gums."

So a simple lick can have quite serious consequences when it comes to the transmission of germs from dog to human. Another important issue is dog food. If you use raw food, such as raw meat, the dog can get bacteria which lead to serious problems. They can carry a bacterium without superficial signs, but if transmitted to the child it can cause severe symptoms.

So it is good to teach your little ones to express their love for the dog from afar.
