Demi Lovato shared a long message about her experience with an eating disorder, along with a series of photos in bikini showing off the stretch marks on her body.
"I once really believed that healing from an eating disorder was not real. Everyone was cheating and behind closed doors they were the same. I was sure someone was coming somewhere, even if they said it was now "I thought someone with these disorders could not accept cellulite. These are just some of the things I said to myself as I grew up."
The photos of Lovato's stretch marks highlighted with gold paint, the pop star, 28, he explained as an exercise in self-love.
"In honor of my gratitude for where I am today, these are some photos I took myself during the quarantine this summer because I wanted to hug my stretch marks and not be ashamed of them."
Lovato went on to say that despite what society thinks, her stretch marks "look bad" she can embrace them for all their beauty.

This is not the first time Demi Lovato has flirted with her eating disorder this year. In an interview in March 2020, on the Ellen DeGeneres Show, she talked about her problems in 2018 and explained what led her to overdose and hospitalization.
"My bulimia got really bad and I asked for help. I did not get the help I needed. However, in the end, I made the decisions that got me to where I am today. It was my actions that put me in position. which I am. "
