Supermodel Stella Tennant was found dead at her home in Scotland on December 22, a few days after her 50th birthday.
In a statement to the Telegraph yesterday, her family revealed that she killed herself after suffering from mental health problems and added that she had been "ill for some time".
"Stella had been ill for some time. We are saddened and deeply saddened that she felt unable to continue, despite the love of those around her. "Grieving the loss of Stella, her family has a heartfelt request that their privacy continue.

The model married photographer David Lasnet in 1999 after meeting him during a shoot.
