Electronic music duo Daft Punk are no longer together. The group, made up of French musicians Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter, confirmed the split with an eight-minute video titled "Epilogue" detached from their 2006 science fiction film, Electroma.
Daft Punk was formed in 1993 in Paris and continued to have a major impact on the house and techno scenes of Europe and later all pop music around the world, with historical albums such as 1997's Homework and 2001's Discovery.

The duo rose to fame during the 2000s as they "hid" behind robotic helmets and made few public appearances and very few interviews. Although they stopped producing albums after 2005, Daft Punk continued to be important in the field of music.

In 2013, they released Random Access Memories, which would be their last album. Daft Punk won numerous Grammy Awards and became a mixed-genre pop music legend.
