Among the highlights of the 2021 Sanremo Festival we certainly can not fail to mention that of Fedez tears on stage, after the performance with Francesca Michieli. The rapper's apparent anxiety, with his face drawn during the performance, has already become the subject of discussion on social networks. As soon as they finished singing their song "Chiamami per nome", the two hugged and Fedez burst into tears as he was seen holding an anti-anxiety bracelet in his hand. He then revealed what was hidden behind this emotion, in an interview with Corriere della Sera.
For Fedez, Sanremo was the culmination of a delicate and intense period, between the inability to perform in public and isolation from Covid, the pregnancy of his soon-to-be-born wife Chiara Ferragni, and the risk of disqualification (as he mistakenly had posted on social media a few seconds of the song).
"The horror of rehearsals gave way to emotions. It was a mixture of things. I lived in semi-isolation for months in the company of a pregnant woman, maybe we have synchronized hormones. Then there are many ups and downs in this adventure, such as "The risk of exclusion ... In short, I am very sensitive in this period," Fedez said.
He and Michielin performed with a white ribbon tying their two microphones, symbolizing the social distance imposed in this period.
"Two meters exactly. The meaning is that despite the distance we are united. White symbolizes the white face, light, rebirth," he explained.
However, in the end the two set aside the distance and hugged.
Michielin praised Fedez's sensitivity:
"I like Federico because he belongs to a world, hip-hop, which is generally macho. It's nice to see an emotional person exposing his fragility."

Did the artistic couple also reveal what happened behind the scenes, in the minutes before going up on stage?
"I continued the attack ... but I was out of tune. Francesca told me to stop so as not to confuse her. "I stopped and shouted Kobe Bryant's name: I love basketball and he is a champion who has always inspired me," said Fedez.
Fedez and Michielin are seventh in the provisional ranking of Sanremo 2021.
