The Sanremo 2021 Festival ended with the Måneski group being selected as the winner. They are expected to continue representing Italy at Eurovision, which will be held in Rotterdam in May.

This year’s edition of the Sanremo festival was held at the Teatro Ariston in Sanremo, and as usual was organized by Italian Television (RAI). The main difference this year was the limited audience, due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis.

But will Måneski represent Italy at Eurovision in Rotterdam? Confirmation should arrive in the next few hours, during the traditional press conference. For this year, it has been postponed to Sunday morning, at 11:30 p.m.

In case they refuse, RAI will select another of the 25 singers in the competition, regardless of their final ranking.

Final results of Sanremo 2021

The overall combined results throughout the week consisted of televoting (25%), press jury (25%), orchestra (25%) and demoscopic poll (25%). The 26 finalists started with the results achieved in the previous four evenings.

After the first round of voting, Ermal Meta, Francesca Michielin & Fedez and Måneskin advanced to the second and final round. Here all results were reset to zero and the demoscopic jury (33%), the press room (33%) and the televot (34%) returned to play. In the end, it was Måneskin who came out victorious, although the expectations for the Albanian singer Ermal Meta were quite high. He was ranked third with the song "Un milyone di cose da dirti".
