Actress Angelina Jolie has accused her ex-partner, Brad Pitt, of domestic violence, international media report. Jolie, 45, has filed documents in court saying she will provide "evidence and powers" to support her claim; documents also show that the couple's children have agreed to testify on the 57-year-old actor's alleged violence, Us Weekly and ETOnline report.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt met during the filming of Mr. and Mrs. Smith in 2004. They dated for several years before getting married in 2014; two years later, they separated and have since been embroiled in a bitter legal battle. The former couple are not divorced yet; they however were only legally declared in April 2019.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's six children - most of them minors - can speak in court, Us Weekly and ETOnline report. Brad Pitt was investigated and then cleared by the FBI for alleged child abuse in 2016 after he and Ms. Jolie split. They are said to be seeking joint custody of the children - Maddox (19), Pax (17), Zahara (16), Shiloh (14) and twins Knox and Vivienne (12).

The new allegations made by Angelina Jolie are being seen in several ways as an attempt to bring down Brad Pitt - "This is just another case of Angelina changing the story when it suits her," a source quoted ET as saying that an accusation that she did in 2016, was investigated and dismissed.
