In September last year, the singer Fjolla Morina was detained at the Morina border crossing, after a gun was found in her bag during a police search. Initially, the court issued a house arrest decision for Fjolla, who was staying in a rented apartment in Kukës. In January of this year, during a search of the house where she was staying, the police did not find Fjolla, who was later declared wanted.

In an interview for "n'Kosovë show", a few days ago, she confessed that at the time of the check-up she was in the hospital, as she suffers from depression. When he learned that he was declared wanted, he was scared and left for Kosovo, from there he said that he traveled to Dubai and the Maldives, where he received the marriage proposal.

While today, the court of Kukës has sentenced the singer to 6 years in prison on charges of arms trafficking.

Fjolla's lawyer told ABC News that the court decision will be appealed. She said that Fjolla had only one weapon in her bag, even accidentally.

"We will appeal the court decision. "She had only one weapon, she had it unintentionally, accidentally in her bag," said the lawyer.

During the interview "n'Kosovë show", Fjolla showed that the weapon found in her bag belonged to a friend of hers who had passed away and she kept it for self-defense, as she was the only mother of two daughters. She stated that she did not know that he had taken the weapon with him, as he had forgotten that he had put it in the bag and that it had never happened to him to shoot with a weapon.
