The electric guitar that Elvis Presley used for his iconic comeback has been sold at auction for a staggering amount. US-based GWS Auctions has revealed that the Hagstrom Viking II electric guitar, which had not been seen in public for the past 52 years, sold for a whopping ,000 450,000

Presley fell in love with the instrument, which belonged to musician Al Casey at the time, and borrowed it for a television concert. Elvis' guitar performance was broadcast in December 1968, marking the star's return after 7 years devoted to film.

She resumed his career and is also the guitar that Elvis Presley is seen holding on the cover of his 1969 album "From Elvis in Memphis". The guitar was returned to Casey, who later sold it to a music collector.

Except for a 12-month period in the 1990s, when it was exhibited at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Ohio, USA, the guitar had not been seen in public for 52 years before it was last sold.
