Prince Philip passed away yesterday morning at his home in Windsor Castle, next to Queen Elizabeth. Apparently, this was also his last wish - to steal to his house.
The news was announced by a royal source for The Post.
The 99-year-old Duke of Edinburgh spent nearly a month in hospital with heart problems before dying in Windsor.
"It was the Duke's last wish to die peacefully at home," the royal source said. "We knew that when he was sent home he would die of his own free will, not in a hospital bed, but in his own bed. Prince Philiph wanted no fuss. He wanted to do things his way until fund. ”
In February, the prince was hospitalized and underwent heart surgery before leaving the hospital on March 16 - the last time he was seen in public.
In his final years, Duke spent most of his time on a private, five-bedroom farm in Wolferton, Norfolk. The farm is located in a secluded part of Sandringham overlooking the sea - and is where the Queen, Prince Philiph and their children went when they wanted to escape public attention for the past 50 years.
