Denmark decided to ban the use of the AstraZeneca vaccine altogether, becoming the first European country to do so. But during this communication, an unusual event happened in the eyes of everyone.
During a press conference of the health authorities in Denmark, to communicate the decision to remove the Astrazeneca vaccine from the vaccination process, the director of the Pharmacology Department of the Danish Drug Agency, Tanja Erichsen, fainted.
The incident that happened during the live broadcast was seen by all the media, but then stopped immediately. In subsequent media communications, it was learned that Tanja's condition came as a result of lowering blood pressure due to fatigue and that everything was already under control.
The official decision to suspend the vaccine follows the temporary suspension of this vaccine on March 11 as a precautionary measure following initial suspicions that arose because some of the people vaccinated with AstraZeneca were found to have some rare blood clots. Denmark was the first country to make the suspension, an example that was temporarily followed by other countries as well. Today many of them are using the vaccine only for the elderly.
