Italian singer and presenter Annalisa Minetti will be able to look again, or rather perceive things thanks to a special device. It was the singer herself who showed the big change in her life in the weekly 'Grand Hotel'.

After 27 years of darkness, Minetti will finally be able to admire the world around her. All this, thanks to a state-of-the-art technology that will surely change her daily life.

"A special technology will allow me to see people and objects. These are special cameras the size of a lighter, which are placed on the tails of the glasses and work using the nose as a point. "In practice, following the direction of the nose, the cameras detect what you are looking at and describe it in your ear through the headset," the 44-year-old said.

For example, if Annalisa is in the supermarket in front of a detergent, this technology allows her to figure out if it is a detergent for dishes or clothes. Of course all within minutes.

"In this system you can also put a register of faces of your family and friends by associating them with their name. So, for example, when my daughter comes towards me, the low voice warns me: "Elena is approaching". Do you know what that means? "It really changes your life," she added.

This technology is a momentary solution, as Annalisa Minetti hopes to be able to look back with her own eyes thanks to the stem cells of her daughter, Elena, which she froze 3 years ago when she gave birth to the baby.

Annalisa lost her sight at the age of 18 due to retinitis pigmentosa and macular degeneration. Since then she can only see shadows and silhouettes.
