To most actors, an Oscar is a true recognition of their acting talent.

However, there were and there are actors who in the history of the Academy institution, not only were never interested in being rewarded with it, but they were appreciated and never appeared to receive it.

An example is the case of Kathryn Hepburn, the best actress of all time according to the American Film Institute, who in her long career of about 70 years managed to win a total of 4 Oscars in the category of First Actress.

After a total of 12 nominations, the vivid television legend was awarded for her performances in the films Morning Glory (1933), Guess Who Coming to Dark (1967), The Lion in Winter (1968) and On Golden Pond (1981), thus maintaining the record for most Academy Awards for Best Actress, the most modern Meryl Streep is within breathing distance of 3.

What sets her apart from other winners is the fact that she has never appeared at any awards ceremony to receive her award in person.

As she stated, “For me, prices are nothing. "My price is my job."

The only time she attended one of the Academy ceremonies was in 1974, not to receive her award, but to present the Irving G.Thalberg Special Award to producer and his friend Lawrence Weingarten, usually saying that “I am the proof of alive that one can wait 41 years to become completely selfless ”.
