You probably do not think twice about pouring water after cooking pasta. Some people use it to cook vegetables, some to boil eggs, while others throw it to plants. If you are one of those people who immediately spill pasta water, now there is one more reason not to do so because pasta water is a very good cure for beauty. The high amount of starch and mineral salts makes it a healthy skin nourisher, but at the same time a soothing and moisturizing scalp. After cooking the pasta, you can use their water in several ways.
Face mask: in a coffee cup of pasta water you can add a little oatmeal to get a scrub-shaped mask. Apply on face and hold for 20 minutes. Then rinse with running water. The skin will be softer and clearer.
You can also add a teaspoon of honey to the pasta water and apply another mask in the same way as above.
Hair mask: Pasta water is also good enough for the scalp. Cleanses, softens and moisturizes the skin. Before shampooing but damp hair, rinse with pasta water massaging the scalp with your fingertips. Hold for a few minutes and after that wash your hair as usual.
Hand softener: even if you put a little oil in the pasta water, it will make your hands even softer. Adding a little more salt, keep your hands in the water for a few minutes. Without rinsing, hold for a few minutes until dry. Then rinse with ambient water. Mineral salts nourish damaged or dry skin of the hands, while the oil softens and gives the skin more radiance.
This method can also be used to soften the skin of the feet.
