The long-awaited reunion of Friends finally has a release date. After a long delay caused by the coronavirus pandemic, the trailer has also been released.
Friends: Reunion will be available on HBO Max from May 27, while the cast started filming together last month.
Friends was one of the biggest sitcoms of the '90s and ended in 2004. The 10-episode show has long been awaited by fans and was made possible thanks to broadcast services like Netflix.
The six members of the original cast - Matthew Perry (Chandler), Jennifer Aniston (Rachel), Courteney Cox (Monica), Lisa Kudrow (Phoebe), Matt LeBlanc (Joey) and David Schwimmer (Ross) - will attend.
They will appear alongside other non-protagonist stars, including Maggie Wheeler (Janice), James Michael Tyler (Gunther), Reese Witherspoon (Jill) and Tom Selleck (Richard), as well as Elliott Gould and Christina Pickles, who play Ross and Monica's parents, Jack and Judy.
Celebrity guests including David Beckham, Lady Gaga, BTS, Cara Delevingne, Mindy Kaling, James Corden, Malala Yousafzai and Justin Bieber are also expected to appear.
A reunion teaser, released yesterday, shows the 6 actors walking alongside a melodic version of Friends's soundtrack, "I'll Be There For You" by The Rembrandts.

Reunification was first rumored in November 2019. It was originally scheduled to start broadcasting in May 2020, but the Covid-19 pandemic delayed production by a year.
