Matt Hancock has resigned as health minister after lawmakers, ministers and conservatives sharply criticized Boris Johnson and demanded that Matt be fired from the government.
In his resignation letter Hancock said:
"We have worked so hard as a country to fight the pandemic. The last thing I would like is for my private life to distract me from the work that is taking us out of this crisis. I want to reiterate my apology for breaking the rules and apologize to my family and loved ones. "I also have to be close to my children at this time . "
According to British media, Matt Hancock and Gina Coladangelo are planning to leave their spouses and live together.
