The hot temperatures have hit our country for days and if you have to spend them in the city, you should consider some tips on how to cope with them successfully.
What do you need to do to cope with the heat of these days?

Stay cool. It may sound obvious, but if your body reaches 40C heat, this requires urgent medical help, as it can lead to loss of consciousness, organ dysfunction, and even fatal consequences.
Take care of nutrition and hydration. Stay constantly hydrated by consuming water (and avoid diuretics like caffeine. Do not expect to be thirsty to drink water, as even if you are not thirsty you may be dehydrated. Also try to consume foods with high water content.
Avoid hot hours. If you can stay indoors. Limit movement in the hottest hours and if possible leave for the cooler parts of the day. Be careful with physical exercises.
Beware the wardrobe. Try not to expose the skin too much to high temperatures. Choose linen and cotton clothing that allow the skin to breathe. Always wear a hat, sunglasses and do not forget the sunscreen.
Choose the cooling methods that suit you. If you do not have (or do not prefer) the air conditioner, then try the coolers, take a cool shower in the hot hours. If you are out make sure you have a face spray bag in your bag as well as always carry a bottle of cold water with you.
