It was the semi-final match of Euro 2020, the one between England and Denmark, when Dritan Shakohoxha, gave the news from 'Wembley', that he will give up sports journalism, a profession he has been practicing for more than 30 years.
At a time when everyone was eye to ear to learn the winner of the evening, Shakohoxha scored another 'goal' commenting on the match.
The final departure from this profession, Shakohoxha has strengthened last night, in the grand final of Euro 2020, between Italy and England. At the end of the match, he said this was the last match he was commenting on because after 32 years, he decided to give up sports journalism.

But what is the reason for this decision?
Dritan Shakohoxha, in connection with the sports program on ART, from "Wembli", where he commented on the Euro 2020 final, revealed that he will run in next year's elections for president of the Albanian Football Federation. This post, as it is known, is held by Armando Duka for 5 mandates. To be free and unconditional in this race, Shakohoxha has chosen to give up the profession and prepare for next year's campaign:
"I will leave journalism, but I will be in the sports environment and I will be long. What can I say more openly? I will run for president of FSHF. "I am convinced that I will win," said Shakohoxha.
On his Instagram account, Shakohoxha has also posted dozens of messages sent by famous personalities from the field of sports and abroad. Some have expressed regret over his decision, but many others have no doubt wished him success in his new goal.
