The Olympic Games of "TOKIO 2020" started yesterday, on July 23 and will last until August 8. Kosovo achieved a great achievement yesterday, after the judoka Distria Krasniqi was able to secure the gold medal.
Krasniqi defeated the Japanese Funa Tonaki in the final.
"Kosovo wins! "We have the first Olympic medal from the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. Distria Krasniqi brought gold to himself and our entire country, making us proud," the Kosovo Olympic Committee announced.
This is the second Olympic medal for Kosovo, after that of Majlinda Kelmendi in Rio 2016.
