The closing ceremony of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, which took place after a year of absence due to the pandemic, was held today. Although the public was absent, due to Covid-19, interest was still high.
The US won one more gold medal on the final day of the competition and was thus declared the winner, accumulating 39 gold medals and 113 medals in total. In second place was China with 38 gold medals and 88 in total, while in third and fourth place were ranked respectively Japan and the United Kingdom.
As in the previous 9 Olympics, Albania has not managed to get any medals, ranking after the number 86, Syria that won a bronze medal.
The 2024 Olympic Games will be held after 3 years in Paris.
