Holidays are over and Prince George and Princess Charlotte are back at school this week.
Although everyone knows them by their royal names, at school Prince George and Princess Charlotte use different names to indicate that they too are 'normal' students.
As for the Prince, so for Princess Charlotte, teachers and schoolmates recognize only one name that has nothing to do with her royal title.
The sister and brother returned this week to "Thomas's Battersea" in London. George, 8, returns to school for the fourth year, while Charlotte, 6, goes to second grade.
Despite their royal status, all the school staff say the children are treated the same as everyone else as soon as they enter the school gate.
This is why both Kate and William want their children to have as "normal" childhood as possible, so Charlotte goes to school under a different name.

The baby's full name is Charlotte Elizabeth Diana, while her official title is Her Majesty Princess Charlotte of Cambridge.
Both names, which immediately identify the Princess, are in fact used by neither the teachers nor the students of the school.
Following the example of her older brother and other family members, she uses the title of parents as an adjective in school. Hence, she is known in school as Charlotte Cambridge.
Even George, who is George Alexander Louis or His Majesty Prince George of Cambridge - is known in school as George Cambridge.
