The first full-length trailer for Britney vs Spears, a Netflix documentary by Erin Lee Carr, has recently been released that will explore the pop star's legal battle over mental health, autonomy and controversial custody overseen by her father.

The trailer opens with Spears' recorded voice: "I just want my life back," she says.

"I've worked all my life," Spears says on the trailer. "I owe nothing to these people."

Last year, Britney expressed concern with documentaries about her life. Following the release of Hulu: "Framing Britney Spears" in February, she admitted that she cried for two weeks over the documentary and was "ashamed of her attention".

According to a press release, the documentary, which will be released on September 28, will tell the "explosive story of Britney's life and the struggle for freedom" containing many years of investigative work, exclusive interviews and new documents.
