Jason Derulo and Jena Frumes are separated!
On Thursday, Derulo announced that he and his partner, Jena Frumes, had split, nearly five months after welcoming their son Jason King. They started dating together in March 2020.
"Jena and I have decided to separate," Derulo said on Twitter. "She is a perfect mother, but we think being separated at this time will allow us to be the best versions of ourselves and the best parents we can be."
"Please respect our privacy at this time," he added.
Frumes, 28, and Derulo, who have a birthday, celebrated in Aspen, Colorado just the day before, where Frumes shared a sweet post about the singer.
"Blessed to share the same birthday with my boyfriend. You are the most handsome, hardworking, talented, 'stupid' and most lovable man ever," the model wrote for Derulo on Wednesday. "You really make me feel good and I am very grateful for the love we share together. You and our mini make me the happiest girl in the world and I can't wait to make more memories with you."
"I know I'm a stubborn person, but you make me gentle and accept me as I am and I'm forever grateful for that," she continued. Congratulations on another year! I love you very much, forever. "
Frumes deleted the post, but kept other photos with the singer.
The former couple welcomed Jason King on May 8 and have decided to keep his private face online.
