About 200 people painted only in white, have walked naked in the desert near the Dead Sea, part of the latest photography project of American artist Spencer Tunick.
The 54-year-old photographer visited the country in southern Israel, as a guest of the tourism ministry, to portray for the third time the shrinking of the Dead Sea through nude subjects.
"To me the body represents beauty, life and love," said Tunick, who has staged dozens of nude shots around the world.
Doctoral student Anna Kleiman, 26, said she joined the filming to raise awareness of the environmental crisis. "It feels really natural, once you take off your clothes," she said. "You do not want to wear them again ..."
