The Technical Committee of Experts met today and decided not to change the austerity measures to prevent Covid-19.

Deputy Minister of Health, Mira Rakacolli said that despite the fact that in the country there is a deterioration of the figures with infections, it is not considered necessary to change the austerity measures.

"The level of austerity measures will remain the same. "The committee draws attention to the implementation of the measures and thus there is no room for further tightening," Rakacolli said.

Experts have called for compliance with existing measures and urged citizens to be vaccinated.

The existing measures that remain in force are:

- Traffic is prohibited after 23:00 until 06:00 in the morning.

-The use of masks indoors, airports, public transport, markets, shopping centers, etc. will be in force.

- The rule of entry of foreign citizens in Albania remains in force.

-Vaccination proof is required at all border crossings. If they do not have a vaccination passport they will have to present the Covid disease test within 180 days, or the test up to 72 hours if it is a PCR test.

-For Albanians who enter and do not have any of these documents, the decision for a 10-day quarantine is in force.
