President Ilir Meta has decorated the well-known Albanian singer Eranda Libohova with the high title "Grand Master".
In a solemn award ceremony, the head of state awarded the well-known artist this award with the motivation: “For her valuable 35-year contribution to Albanian music, as well as for her rare talent and special interpretation of almost all genres and currents music, especially hundreds of Albanian folk and traditional songs from north to south. For the special contribution to the transmission of the best national, artistic and human values, as an artist with a consolidated profile and one of the most precious voices of our contemporary music. "
President Meta in his speech says that Eranda Libohova is one of the beloved personalities of our public while her songs have accompanied their lives for years.
"I am happy to be together, to appreciate a very dear personality of our audience and a prominent artist, the singer Eranda Libohova. Music surrounds us in every moment of life and often touches us emotionally even more than the words themselves. We all have songs that have accompanied us at certain moments in life and that when we listen to them, even after many years and decades, we immediately bring back memories. Such are the songs of Eranda, which have been a leitmotif at certain moments of our lives.
Eranda Libohova grew up in a family where all its members had an attraction to art and music. With a passion for singing and a special artistic talent, still a teenager, he climbed the ladder of the professional art scene for the first time, performing at Song Festivals. The extraordinary duo of the Libohova sisters, turned into a symbol of entertaining music, with songs - hits and very successful collaborations, mainly but not only with the well-known author Agim Krajka.
Successive awards, in various music projects, have been accompanied by endless applause from the art-loving public, which has supported them with much love. These successes gave Eranda the guarantee and security to perform later alone, creating a completely unique character in the panorama of Albanian song, and leaving traces between generations with her hits.
