For many people, propositions are supposed to be the most romantic moment you have ever experienced just while reading fairy tales. You watch the love of life as she sits on her knees and pulls out a box with the ring that shines and says the magic sentence that makes your tears flow like a waterfall. But have you ever wondered what it means to be on your knees?
In fact it is somewhat strange. We understand that it is tradition and other things - but if you really think about it, what can one gain by kneeling down?
The Engagement Ring Bible examines where the tradition came from and explains that it "dates back to the period of chivalry, chivalry and matchmaking. So this is why men traditionally fall on one knee to propose to women.
"The knights had to sit on one knee in front of someone of the highest rank, as a show of respect, obedience and loyalty. So when a gentleman proposed to the lady, vowing allegiance and declaring love for her, sit on a the knee was the most natural thing to do. " This is called the obedience agreement in the caloric vocabulary. And so, kneeling has become a tradition and today typical proposals definitely have someone kneeling.
