Omikron - the variant with the name of the Greek alphabet was discovered days ago in South Africa. South African President Cyril Ramaphosa expects a fourth Corone wave in the coming weeks. 

Meanwhile cases of the new Omikron variant have been confirmed in several countries. In the Netherlands, 61 people brought the virus from South Africa, 10 of whom were diagnosed with the Omicron variant. Cases of Omicron have also been identified in Australia, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, the United Kingdom, Israel, Italy, Canada, Austria and the Czech Republic. Many countries have tightened measures by imposing travel restrictions. The President of South Africa criticized this as "unfair discrimination of our country and sister countries."

But what are the symptoms that appear in people infected with Omicron?

Regarding the symptoms shown by the new variant, Omikron, the head of the South African Medical Association, SAMA and the South African doctor Angelique Coetzee told the news agency, AFP that many of her patients with Omikron show unusual symptoms, but easy. Most of those affected are men under the age of 40 who complain of "extreme fatigue". As for the British newspaper "Telegraph", Coetzee expressed concern that elderly people with other diseases, Omikron could hit hard.

Other symptoms were mild headache, body aches and sore throats.
