Apple today released the long-awaited annual list of the best apps and games on iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV and Apple Watch.

This year, children's app maker Toca Boca won the iPhone App of the Year with "Toca Life World", and "League of Legends: Wild Rift" is the iPhone Game of the Year (iPhone Game of the Year).

Other winners include:

iPad App of the Year “LumaFusion” by LumaTouch;
Netmarble's iPad Game of the Year "MARVEL Future Revolution";
Mac App of the Year "Craft" by Luki Labs Limited;
Mac Game of the Year "Myst" by Cyan;
Apple TV App of the Year “DAZN” by DAZN Group;
Apple TV Game of the Year "Space Marshals 3" by Pixelbite;
Apple Watch App of the Year "Carrot Weather" by Grailr;
Apple Arcade Game of the Year: "Fantasian", by Mistwalker.
Usually, award winners represent new entrants to the App Store, those who have utilized Apple technologies in an interesting way, or those who have gained special attention over the years. For example, last year's award winners reflected on how the pandemic has affected the app world, where the Wakeout! won the iPhone App of the Year award, while Zoom won the iPad.

But the Toca Life World iPhone App of the Year is an interesting choice for another reason. Its creator, Toca Boca, celebrated its 10th anniversary in March this year. Since the launch of its first app, the company has continued to create more than 40 other apps for children, - or as Toca Boga likes to call them - digital toys. "Toca Life World" is the culmination of this work.

The selection also serves as a reminder of a year in which many events and riots have occurred in the Apple Store, where developers are building a long-term activity in the App Store and Apple has helped perform this role to support this success, even through prices like these.
