
Arnaaz Sandhu, a 21-year-old from India was crowned Miss Universe 2021 on Sunday, marking the end of a competition, organized this year in southern Israel.
In a speech on stage during the competition, Sandhu urged young people “to know that they are unique and that is what makes them beautiful, and do not compare yourself to others.
"I believed in myself and that is why I am staying here today," she added, to loud applause from the public.

The competition was held in the resort town of Eilat, with 80 girls from all over the world competing for the crown. Sunday night was the last day of the race, where eliminations narrowed the number of finalists until the last two remained.
Paraguay's Nadia Ferreira and South Africa's Lalela Mswane were the first and second runners-up, respectively.
