Oshmari is an old tradition of the entire Korça region, the main ingredient of which is corn flour.

However, this cooking, although it may differ slightly in other ingredients, is cooked in all Albanian territories.

Somewhere it is known as harapash, elsewhere as kaçamak, oshmar in Korça and so on, but its taste is unique and completely includes.

Korça oshmari used to be served during the mornings to get energy during the day, therefore it is a perfect choice when the temperatures drop.

Preparing oshmar at home:

Ingredients

2 tablespoons fresh butter or 4 tablespoons olive oil

3 tablespoons grated cheese (white or brown according to preference)

2 glasses of milk water

1 glass of water

2-3 tablespoons of sour cream

2 cups tea with corn flour

Preparation

Put a pot on the fire and add fresh butter.

Let it melt and then add the shredded white cheese.

If you are going to use kachkaval cheese, then you will need to add it at the end of the oshmar preparation.

Knead it a little and then add the milk and water.

Let them simmer until they get the first boil, then immediately add the corn flour.

Mix it quickly and without interruption with a wooden spoon so that no grains form.

Add the yoghurt sauce, which will give the oshmar a perfect texture and taste.

Stir until the mass separates from the sides of the container for about 15 minutes.

Then divide into plates and top with a little grated cheese and you will have a delicious breakfast./aw/
