O Yeong-su, the star of the 'Squid Game' series, which we know as the 001 player, won the award at the age of 77 as the best non-protagonist actor, for his performance in the drama produced and broadcast on Netflix.
He is the first Korean actor to receive an award at the Golden Globes.
O Yeong-su started his career as a theater actor, with more than 200 roles since 1967. After that, he switched to television and cinematography.
Since debuting on Netflix in September 2021, "Squid Game" has become the most watched series on the platform, in 94 countries, from 142 million subscribers.
In October last year, O Yeong-su also revealed how much his life had changed since the series came out. "I feel like I'm flying, I need to calm down and organize my thoughts," he said in an interview with MBC.
