Simon Cowell is engaged to Lauren Silverman after 13 years together, confirms Page Six.
A source told us that Cowell, 62, asked for his hand in marriage to the 44-year-old, during a recent family 'escape' in Barbados, where the former "American Idol" lawyer has a home.
Cowell got down on one knee in front of the couple's 7-year-old son, Eric, and Silverman's son from a previous marriage, Adam.
"It was a very sweet moment," the insider said of the beach proposal, adding: "They are very happy together."
The future spouses met in 2004 when Silverman was still married to renowned businessman Andrew Silverman, a good friend of Cowell.
After 10 years of marriage, the Silvermans finalized their divorce in 2013 - the same year that Lauren and Cowell made their relationship public.
