Jamie Lynn Spears claimed in a rare television interview yesterday that she tried to help end the custody of her sister, Britney Spears.

"I've always been my sister's biggest supporter, so when she needed help, I decided on ways to do it," Jamie Lynn told Good Morning America. "I left to make sure she had the contacts she needed to continue and put an end to this conservative and just to put an end to all this for our family."

She did not disclose what "contacts" she gave Britney or if the pop star had ever contacted them. However, Jamie Lynn testified that he spoke with Samuel D. Ingham III, whom a Los Angeles judge appointed as Britney's attorney when she was hospitalized in February 2008 at the start of the Conservatory. Ingham resigned in July 2021 after Britney sought to hire a lawyer of her choice, Mathew Rosengart, who has represented her ever since.

"If she wanted to talk to other people, then I helped her. "I made it possible for her," Jamie Lynn told ABC News as she promoted her memoir. "I even talked to her previous legal team and it did not end well in my favor."

Britney was no longer following Jamie Lynn on Instagram earlier this month after constantly showing disgust with her on social media. However, the latter insisted with tears on "Good Morning America" ??that there is still a lot of love between her and Britney, adding:

"I just always loved and supported him."
