Kylie Jenner has become the first woman to reach 300 million followers on Instagram. Ariana Grande, who previously held the crown as the most followed woman, is now in second place with Selena Gomez. The singers have 289 million followers each.
Instagram - created in 2010 by Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger, and acquired by Facebook in 2012 - now has 1.3 billion users.
Jenner has not been very active recently on Instagram, however this has not stopped the number of her followers from growing.
But Manchester United striker Cristiano Ronaldo remains the most followed person on Instagram now, with more than 388 million followers. Even his football colleague, Lionel Messi, has exceeded the figure of 300 million. Other accounts in the top 10 belong to The Rock, Kim Kardashian and singers Beyoncé and Justin Bieber.
