'Fit for a Queen' may be a common phrase used for delicious and savory food, but our monarch Queen Elizabeth herself tends to prefer a simple diet to keep her in shape when she is at home. there is a royal chef that we ordinary people can of course have in. The royal chef will send three menu suggestions for each meal a week - written in French since the reign of Queen Victoria.

So what is on a monarch's menu? Here you will find everything about what the queen consumes on an ordinary day. 

The Queen's day begins at 7:30 a.m. when tea and biscuits are brought to her bedroom. Her tea is served with two biscuits and milk while she listens to Today Program on Radio 4.

The Queen eats breakfast in her private dining room at 8:30 p.m. According to The Telegraph, Her Majesty consumes cereals and fruits for the most important meal of the day. 

When she does not have her usual cereals and fruits, the Queen sometimes chooses to eat toast and jam, and occasionally also enjoys fried eggs with smoked salmon with minced truffles.

Before lunch arrives, which is usually served at 1pm, she enjoys a gin and Dubonnet (a sweet wine-based aperitif) with a slice of lemon and lots of ice. 

Lunch is usually a meal of fish and vegetables, or plain grilled chicken with salad. "

Afternoon tea is a daily meal and often comes with the Queen's favorite chocolate chip cookie cake, which was also served at Prince William's 2011 wedding. 

According to 'folklore' the queen is a fan of chocolate, and she mostly prefers cakes that are chocolate or with 60% cocoa. 

In addition to her gin and Dubonnet at lunch, the Queen will drink a Dry Martini before dinner and a glass of champagne in the evening.

Dinner usually consists of beef or venison fillet, or salmon and can be served with a mushroom sauce, cream cheese and whiskey.
