Before devoting himself entirely to fashion, we all knew Victoria Beckham as one of the stars of the Spice Girls, who created a string of hits during the time the band was in its heyday. However, there is one thing Victoria would like to forget: "Wannabe".
As she explained in a podcast on E! News, the song just doesn’t fit anymore.
"I liked it then… You know what, I just do not think it sounds the same to sing it now. In short, others can sing it now."
Although Victoria has reservations about that period of her life, she still has a lot of love for Mel B, Mel C, Gary Halliwell and Emma Bunton. During her interview, the former Spice Girls star even explained how the band taught her to never give up on good times - and then move on to the fashion and beauty industry.
"I think it's essential to work hard and the product will be good," she noted. "So with the Spice Girls, the music was really good, the music stood by itself. You know, the lyrics stood by themselves. The melodies as well."
