It's not the first time this has happened. It seems that for France it has become common to confuse the anthem of representative nationals. It happened to Albania for the first time in September 2019. Instead of our anthem, the one of Armenia was heard, while this time it was Finland that heard the Albanian anthem instead.
In the meeting between the French team and Finland, in 'Le Havre', the national anthem of Albania and not that of Finland was heard from the sound center. The players reacted with laughter, as soon as they realized that it was not their anthem, however they waited until the end in the hope that their anthem could be heard as well.
But it did not happen. Even the representatives of Finland on the bench, members of the technical staff, did not protest about this mess, but stood in anticipation of the anthem of their state.
The Albanian anthem was heard to the end, even applauded by the audience, who, for sure, did not understand the confusion.
The French Federation, in fact, apologized for the mistake, but 3 years ago the fine for the Federation for the mistake against Albania was 20 thousand euros.
