Anonymous posted that it has carried out a hacker attack on the Belarusian railways, saying that "all services are out of order and will remain so until Russian forces leave the territory of Belarus." The hacker group Anonymous has claimed to have made inaccessible about 300 websites of Russian companies, banks and state-owned media. Affected sites include those of energy giants Gazprom, Lukoil and Rosneft and, presumably, that of the Tass news agency. A Twitter account of the group posted a status, accompanied by the Ukrainian flag, which reads: "You should have predicted us."

Another Anonymous-linked account claimed that Russian state television channels had been hacked "to convey the truth about what is happening in Ukraine". A profile aired on Russian state television, which aired Ukraine's national anthem and claimed that Russian military communications were being intercepted by hackers.

The members of the group released a video press release yesterday in which they promised that "these actions will continue as activists will not remain inactive while Russian forces kill innocent people trying to defend their homeland."
