Tom Ford is not afraid to share his thoughts on the state of the Met Gala.

Although he was dressed to honor the dress code and evening theme for the "gilded glamor" with classic tuxedo on the red carpet at the Met Gala 2022, the stylist made sure to tell Vogue's Hamish Boëles that he "is not the type temash ".

When Ford (who is one of the co-chairs of the Met Gala 2022 and even curated part of the exhibition) was asked if it was important for him to stick to the theme of the gala, he objected.

Adding that he was dressed according to the time period, Ford said he was not a themed person, which was not unheard of after his recent comments, that the Met Gala has turned "into a costume party".

Along with sharing his attitude against the themes, the stylist spoke delicately against some of the exaggerated dressed attendees, saying: "I prefer simple and elegant outfits."

"I make very simple, classic, elegant evening dresses and I hope things go well when we dress people," he said of conceiving the celebrity images he wore to the event.

The famous stylist clearly seems to be against a lot of clothing at the Met Gala, especially Katy Perry's hamburger and candlestick clothing in 2019.
